.High School.

High school is a small scale society with large scale consequences. You have your cliques and your outcasts, your professionals and your drug addicts, your perfect couples and your perfect scandals, and within it all a thriving capitalist society. Your work is your school and your pay is your grades and according to the "handy-dandy-capitalist-notebook" the harder you work, the bigger the pay. But just like capitalism in the modern world, greed works the same way in high school. You cheat not only to make it easier on yourself, but to get ahead of the person next to you. High school is indoctrination, its trains you to be part of the bigger system; it trains you to answer to a bell system, when a bell rings you either go to class [work] or to your break, just like a factory. You become a number. High school teaches you to love this country, you salute your flag, and then you learn about how great Christopher Columbus was. Patriotism, indoctrination, and dehumanization are the building blocks of high school.

High school is not where you necessarily expand your knowledge academically, but where you expand your knowledge socially. You now begin to understand what it is to be human. Emotions now become a bit more complicated, life is no longer black and white but gray and yellow and fuchsia and purple and the whole god damn spectrum. And you begin to realize that emotions are fickle, that you can blindly lead yourself into what you think love is, you can trick yourself into baseless relationships, it's the he say she say drama drama drama, and it is absolutely fucking beautiful. Life isn't life if it's led perfectly. To understand anything you have to hurt other people and other people have to hurt you. The beauty is in the pain and that pain will be the cornerstone for how you will address the rest of your life.
Enjoy ladies and gentlemen.
